Trump yanks millions from Catholic Charities amid Pope feud.

The Trump administration has abruptly canceled a multimillion-dollar contract with a Catholic charity that houses and cares for migrant children amid the president’s feud with Pope Leo XIV.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami has helped provide vital services to unaccompanied minors for more than 60 years, but could now shut down within a matter of months after the administration canceled an $11 million federal contract.

My opinion is that American taxpayers have no obligation to support Catholic Charities in whatever good they want to do. The US Government is a vile organization. Doing good is not what it does. So, why was the federal government awarding contracts to the Catholic Church in its good doing?

It all began with Operation Peter Pan, a CIA-like initiative under the Eisenhower Administration to smear Fidel Castro by helping children flee Cuba. The kids would eventually be united with their parents who came to the US later. This is why Florida has the highest concentration of Cuban Americans in the United States, with an estimated 1.6 million residents. Marco Antonio Rubio is the most famous Cuban in America.

Nor any religion. Nor any charity.

Duhhhh ... do the math: if the government didn't give that money away there would be less government debt and less taxes, and with the lower taxes we as individuals would have more money to give to charities. AND, we Catholics would be far more careful about our money reaching those in need. When the government gives away money they give it to whoever farts loudest, politically. When we contribute we give it to those most in need.
