In sparring with Pope Leo on theology, Vance said it was wrong to criticize those who wield the sword because Europe would never have been liberated during WWII without the U.S. military.

Does anyone, especially a practicing Christian, thinks this American hillbilly has a point?

@fanuc2013 The popes kept their mouths shut during the early parts of WW2 in part because they thought Russian atheism was a bigger threat to Catholicism than the Nazis. The enemy of my enemy thing.

That Poland is still a very Catholic country is proof that the Catholic Church is bigger than the Pope.
