While the cat's away ending Persian civilization, Taiwan and China are getting closer to peaceful reunification.

One of the biggest things pushing reunification with the mainland is a sense with young people that Taiwan has no future compared to the mainland and their leaders don't care and are more concerned with pandering to Washington than doing anything for their own people's future. Many are already leaving because they already know the language and travel is easy and they have better access to education and opportunities than on an island that is a glorified US base with American controlled semi conductor plants.
