I've been to Lebanon 4 times over the past couple of years. Had a great time, incredible night life and fantastic food. Even felt safe blocks from where Israel was bombing, near the American University of Beirut.

Sure, it it was not safe where Israel was dropping bombs.

@Northwest Beirut has long been on my bucket list . Are you Maronite ? (Assuming anyone who’s been there 4 times has roots - bc it hasn’t been a vacation destination for decades ). Side note ; golden state warriors head coach’s Steve Kerri dad was the dean of AUB. I said was.

The Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr's father, Malcolm H. Kerr, was the president of the American University of Beirut (AUB) from 1982 until his assassination in Beirut on January 18, 1984.

Steve Kerr is a native of Beirut and grew up there. I believe Malcolm was also a native of Beirut.

@Northwest what does more like Jewish mean ? Druze? (I know lebanons history dating back to Phoenicia and admire the Lebanese people. )
