Israel Offered To Restrain Strikes On Hezbollah

So, of course, Israel conducted 100 strikes, within the span of 10 minutes. Most of the strikes hit residential targets, killing civilians and kids.

But perhaps some were actual Hezbollah fighters. This is going to be a problems for about the 85% of the Lebanese who are not part of the Hezbollah universe. We told the former to rise up against Hezbollah and we will support them.

Except that we didn't and now the Lebanese government is exposed, facing public anger over the indiscriminate slaughter, and promises of retaliation from Hezbollah.

Israel has offered to restrain its strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon in order to allow for the ceasefire between Iran, Israel, and the US to be successful, US Vice President JD Vance told reporters on Wednesday night.

Vance noted that Israel's offer was not an indication of whether or not Hezbollah would be included in the Iran ceasefire deal.

"The Iranians thought that the ceasefire included Lebanon, and it just didn't," he said. "We never made that promise. We never indicated that was going to be the case."

Vance also noted that Netanyahu was crossing his fingers behind his back at the time.
