While Patton was famous for his "indelicate" speak, which was actually toned down for the movie, Trump is no "Patton". This is more the frustration of a schoolboy who cant get his way..And it is playing right in the Iranian narrative. Not that they are the good guys in this.. Trump refuses to lose and the Iranians will not let him win. Trump will go all in and use the nuclear option unless there is a coup and he is removed as commander-in-chief by the US military in collaboration with lawmakers in Congress.
Trump believes it is true that he has degraded Iranian military response capability.
