Correct. Any country that pays Iran direct in Chinese Yuan will be allowed safe passage through the straighrs. Iran has said that from the get go. They have issues with America and its allies but not with anyone who pays in Yuan.

@justanothername The sanctioners getting sanctioned and not liking it has been a very ironic twist to this war of choice.

Guess we'll wait until dollar falls and us bond market dumps!
So they're paying in yuan. Good. I always hates US wars!

Wars are always named after the nation attacked as in the Iran war or Vietnam war, etc. If they were named after the attacker, there would be easily more than 100 US wars including the recent Venezuelan war to capture Maduro and his wife. Congress has only declared 5 of those US wars.

While I doubt that Trumps tasteless mysogynism had anything to do with it, France and other european nations are turning their backs on America. Somehow I get the feeling the American media may not report this in a "fair and balanced" way. So here is one as seem from outside the US media bubble..

I wonder if France paid the toll ?

@ididntknow On April 3, 2026, the Malta-flagged vessel CMA CGM Kribi, owned by the French shipping giant CMA CGM, transited the strait after coordinating with Iranian maritime authorities and paying a fee reported to be $2 million in Chinese yuan.
