French ship crosses Strait of Hormuz in first Western European transit during Iran war.

A vessel owned by France’s CMA CGM has become the first ship tied to Western Europe to cross the Strait of Hormuz since the outbreak of the Iran war in late February, according to ship tracking data.

Macron is pissed off with Trump's jibe at his wife Brigitte. Now that the hard work is done by the US, the French is taking the Strait and paying for its use in Chinese yuan.

Wars are always named after the nation attacked as in the Iran war or Vietnam war, etc. If they were named after the attacker, there would be easily more than 100 US wars including the recent Venezuelan war to capture Maduro and his wife. Congress has only declared 5 of those US wars.

Correct. Any country that pays Iran direct in Chinese Yuan will be allowed safe passage through the straighrs. Iran has said that from the get go. They have issues with America and its allies but not with anyone who pays in Yuan.

While I doubt that Trumps tasteless mysogynism had anything to do with it, France and other european nations are turning their backs on America. Somehow I get the feeling the American media may not report this in a "fair and balanced" way. So here is one as seem from outside the US media bubble..
