If the plan was to leave in 2 weeks anyway, like he said?
And yet, the forces amassed would suffer heavy casualties in a larger invasion, and Trump seems to have no appetite for that.
Why threaten to bomb targets that clearly make no sense.. energy infrastructure? That would close the Strait permanently. Unless the goal is to bomb for the sake of bombing.
Why even wait the two weeks? Trump has said he will not try to reopen the Strait anyway, so why not leave now?
There seems to be no point in building up a force in contact with an enemy when there is no plan to attack. Unless the actual aim is to exhaust the US stockpile of high end missiles and interceptors, as a gift to Putin
