The Wailing Wall is a controversy; US Presidents avoided visiting it but not Trump.

Do you know that the Wailing Wall is a remnant of the Second Temple of Jerusalem built by exiled Jews driven out by the Babylonians? It was destroyed by the Romans who drove the Jews out again.

The First Temple, or Solomon's Temple, was a central Jewish place of worship built by King Solomon but later destroyed by the Babylonians. The Jews want to rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem for the third time at the expense of the Christians and Muslims.

Now we know why this Temple is inviting destruction again.

@Seashell None of the others were in office as US President except Trump. The elder Bush was Vice President in 1986, Bill Clinton was no longer in office in 2009, the younger Bush was Governor of Texas in 1998 at the time, and Obama in 2008 was a presidential candidate.

The wailing wall is NOT part of either first or second temple. It is the shoring for the mount upon which the temple was built according to one source. It is part of a Roman fort built on the site below where the temple was built according to a second source. No serious archaeologist or historian believe it is part of the temple itself The temple was completely destroyed and will not be built again
