Will Press Conference formats change immediately with Sean Spicer?

Sean Spicer was once a respected member of the press corps. He chewed out all of the press yesterday and refused to take questions.
Senior strategist KellyAnne Conway was infuriated by overdramatizarion by Trump opponents.

Check out the press conference video at 2:20 and tell me if Spicer had a Kiniptian fit with the word "Period"!

Brillant ...

A ... for timing
A ... for clarity
A ... for delivery
A ... for tactical execution
A ... for strategy

Really ... this was out of the box thinking

True, very consistent in style.
Too bad Spicer looks afraid for his life.
He must have gotten a serious chewing by the top guy before he came out!
That is difficult to muster ... I, who talk well in front of crowds, would have found that almost impossible to execute.

Sean just set a new high bar.

@questionWeaver: For being afraid of his life, he did an incredible job!
Either knuckle down or hit that daggone door out!
Forward leaning public speaking is difficult for the best ... most can only do it for 90 seconds.

To do it at the first meeting ... coming out of the blocks ... wow!

@questionWeaver: I do agree at a certain level but he is not a rookie at communicating in this manner. I am watching Fox News and all of the press there was offended by his nerve of having a WH press statement and not a press conference. A press conference allows those attending permission to ask a question. They were just scalded and demoted to only receivers of Spicer's statement.
@Pfuzylogic:

Exactly ... He is making the new rules ... if reporters cooperate ... they get to participate ... if not, somebody else will fill the seat.

This is advanced negotiation ... raw ... confrontational ... there is no downside for Sean

He would be a fool not to do it.

They teach this in graduate school ... but few have the skills

@questionWeaver: I think that there is a moment though that especially with the price you have to go beyond pragmatism and inclusion to the very ideals of the constitution that were protected by military and an intelligence that has lost lives in order to protect it. That is the very same reason it is important to have free and fair elections.
That is also the very reason why I am concerned about trumps regard for those who lay down their life to protect those freedoms that we are guaranteed by the Constitution especially in front of the stars of the CIA where it shows those who sacrificed their lives to protect our country's integrity.
