Nor is it what you read in the Book of Proverbs.

“ If your enemy is is hungry, give him bread to eat
and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,
for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you’.

Not a call to take vengeance on our enemies.
A call to do good to them, hopefully awaking consciences.
