@whowasthatmaskedman And I think more importantly much like the Wehrmacht the US and western militaries more generally think toys that nobody can afford including the Pentagon can win wars when they make a force designed for posturing, not fighting.

@emiliya Quite so... But in the end, who won? The Allies? Because they had boots on the ground and Germany divided? Or Germany? Because thanks to the Marshall plan they finally got the industrial kick start and modern makeover necessary because of the total devastation of the nation and its people. And there they are, the powerhouse of Europe again.. Maybe they should thank the French for trying to starve them out of existence with the treaty of Versailles? (Just making the point that the world is full of unintended consequences..)😷

The US tried private army nonsense in Iraq and it was a shit show.
