It seems strange to me too celebrate something that was horrible.
they don't like talking about it. I mean a geneocide attached to your history. But there were a couple of times I went into shops and they had the diary of Anne frank playing.

Its not celebrated at all. They remember all the time. Evryone has to go to the camps throughout their life so they don't forget

It was ALL because of Hitler. Jews were known to not spend their money. They were savers. And Hitler decided he wanted their wealth Pure and Simple.

There is no celebration date that I know of. Other than the celebration Of Hitlers Death. You might consider a trip to East Germany to view what they went through. I have visited there. It was a horror. Hitler killed the Jews ONLY because he could!
