You do realize there are thousands of windmills out there that are broken and they don’t fix them. The company selling them either don’t care or have gone bankrupt. . They produce more carbon monoxide in manufacturing windmills, then windmills, save and curb and monoxide.

@Jake966 Absolute 100% BS.
25 years isn’t a death date, it’s a warranty milestone. Panels keep working long after that.
“Owner cleans it up”? Yes like literally every piece of infrastructure ever built. The difference is solar sites are usually required to have decommissioning plans and funding in place.
“No recycling”? Completely wrong. Most of a solar panel is recyclable, and in much of the world (especially civilised areas like Europe, China, South America and Africa) producers are legally required to take responsibility for it. In most developed countries, solar doesn’t just get abandoned (unlike coal heaps) it gets repowered, reused, or recycled under regulation. You know, like a functioning industry in 2026.
But sure, let’s pretend it’s Mad Max with broken solar panels instead of, say, the very real mountains of fossil fuel waste nobody seems worried about #amiright?

@jackjjackson Well we all know you don't like the truth; you only like being agreed with.
