Week Four Comes With A Few Surprises

Looks like Iran managed to stitch together a couple of longer range missiles, by raiding their civilian missile program. This is a 2-stage weapon, giving it a 3,500 mile range.

The US military was aware this was a possibility, so they had destroyers around Diego Garcia armed with SM-3 Interceptors.

One of the missiles did not make it, and the other either ran into one of SM-3 interceptors, or fell into the ocean as well.

Best case is that the missile did not have a warhead, enabling it to travel this far. With a little luck, it's also possible that this was the only thing Iran had left. It's also possible that these things were not designed for this purpose, and had not been tested, so the only thing they can do is randomly fall back down to earth.

There are, however, some bad scenarios:

1. It costs Iran about $1M to make one of these things. It costs us about $60M to $70M, in addition to the cost of the launch vehicle, to try to intercept it.

2. It doesn't have to be equipped with a 1-ton warhead to cause major panic in any European city. Even if only the fragments fall down.

Scary part is Trump was not aware of this possibility, yet he's been declaring total annihilation of Iran 30 minutes into the "excursion."

Another scary part, is that two possible hypersonic missiles struck their targets in Arad and Dimona in Israel, a few steps away from the nuke reactor, and either triggered an alarm in Israel. Hundreds were injured with some fatalities,

This is after Netanyahu and Trump swore Iran has no offensive missiles capability, and following what Israel and the US said were the most punitive bombing runs against Iran.

And we still don't know why we're into this war.

Iran has a program to put satellites into space. Their previous program used Russian satellites, launching from Baykhanor.
