There is always someone willing to take a risk for $$$$ .. There will be ships going through to get the reward, there will be nations desperate enough to test the waters and once they make it through and get the monetry rewards others will do the same.. Making money has always been a great motivator..

@Adstar hmm given how big these tankers are, that sounds a bit like "all the airports are closed but someone will always want to fly for the right price. Sure but if it's not a commercial liner it's not going to make a dent in the shortfall."

@Adstar The ships insurers have pulled insurance coverage if they enter the zone. That makes the ship a total loss unless the US provides coverage and indemnity for the crew, who incidentally also have to volunteer. Thats going to have the US insurance industry in a feedinf frenzy looking for a way to turn a profit and will take months to formulate and approve.😷
