You say that to Tāwhirimātea and Tāne. And to the Aztecs. Norse thought the Sun was once swallowed by wolves. Phaethon in Greek mythology tried to drive the Sun Chariot and it crashed and burned. Greeks thought this is what made the Africans black...Africa being scorched by Phaethon's misadventure. Phaethon was son of Helios. Half god, half mortal. His god-dad told him that not even Zeus could drive the Chariot, but Phaethon in his youthful arrogance wouldn't listen. What is worse than youth? Mortal youth. Man and youth together.
US and other powers want to harvest energy in space from the sun and beam it to earth. What then? And what of the wind farms?

@emiliya No. They won't. There's enough sunshine and wind for everyone. And this is what worries the people who own the media and politicians. They want a world in which resources are controlled and prices harvested by those who own them. You can do this with fossil fuels, whose reserves are concentrated and under the exclusive control of the companies licensed to exploit them.
You cannot do it with renewables, because sunshine and wind are everywhere.
