Iran has the right to defend itself.

Just wanted to say that. It shouldn’t be controversial but we all know that the right wing types love a pile-on.

After all, we hear this argument all the time in defence of the indefensible actions of another Middle-Eastern state…

You mean the regime that killed between 30,000 and 70,000 of its own people? Were they given a right to defend themselves?

@EarthlingWise and the brutal apartheid regime that has trampled upon the rights of Palestinians for decades has the right to defend itself? Yes. It does.

But so does Iran.

@Waveney Iran is a totalitarian state. Dictators will defend themselves. Fighting the dictators is the only way to defend the people.
