Iranian Missiles Hit the Gulf With No Warning.
Stranded expatriates and trapped travelers in the Gulf States are lining up private jets and scrambling overland in hopes of escaping a widening conflict started by the US and Israel. Trump and Netanyahu knew Iranian retaliation would be immediate and where they would strike - mainly US bases and embassies in the Gulf, Israel, and British base in Cyprus - the moment the US and Israel started their bombing of Iran. Even Iran did not know when because the US/Israel launched a joint surprise attack on Iran to take out the Ayatollah Khamenei.
Residents and tourists who were out shopping or tanning on the beach of the gleaming business hubs of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Dubai, and Qatar watched with curiosity as missiles were intercepted above them like loud, daytime fireworks. No alerts arrived, and no sirens rang out, as falling debris and drone hits turned the mood to panic.
Even embassies were behind the curve as well. It wasn't until Monday, more than 48 hours after the hornets' nest was bashed with the assassination of Khamenei in Tehran, that the US State Department said that Americans should leave. Hundreds of thousands of Americans and other nationals working in and visiting the Gulf are trapped. All flights are suspended. Even tanker traffic in the Persian Gulf is trickling down to a dead stop. Nothing is coming in or going out. In the coming days, food supplies in stores throughout the Gulf will vanish.
