About Trump's SoTU address. (copied from FaceBook)

FaceBook post by Tom Sara

I saw a President who was unapologetic in his love of the country. Who stood there for 2 hours honoring America and everyday Americans!

I saw American Heros who gave so much for their love of the country!

We all saw a Hockey team made up of winners and American Patriots show how much they loved their country and how much the True Americans loved them!

I saw 3 soldiers, 2 that were 100 years old and 1 that almost lost his legs in service of our country, all struggled to stand up, but did it in honor and love of their country!

And on the Democrat side, I saw petulant little children who were trying to make it about themselves with disgusting buttons on, stupid signs, heckling the President and that disrespecting the country. Who couldn’t stand to honor the American Patriots and stories that were being honored last night.

On the Democrat side I saw their true liberal beliefs when the President said:
"Tonight, I am inviting every legislator to stand to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens and not illegal aliens."
and every Democrat sat on their hands, refusing to stand for such an easy statement. Refusing to stand up for the American people.

And NO, there is no excuses, it was an easy question and should have been an easy answer!
NOW IT IS TIME TO LET THEM KNOW THAT WE THE PEOPLE ARE TAKING BACK THIS COUNTRY. SHOW UP ON EVERY ELECTION DAY AND VOTE!

The first duty of the government is to protect all of the people....be they citizens or not. The Constitution and the Rule of Law applies to everyone, not just citizens.

Do you see and understand the difference?

This was Trump continuing to divide the country. US versus THEM.

BTW, Trump loves the country so much, that he's grifting millions of dollars into his pockets, while pretending he cares about you.

@JSul3 The President was presumably relying on his more ardent fans not spotting that Constitutional and Legal point, but his wording is designed to deflect from that.

Wrong, as usual.

The Constitution and the Rule of Law applies to everyone, not just citizens.

Whether you're just pushing the Marxist narrative, or are just too stupid to see it...this isn't a constitutional issue.

First off...the purpose of the Constitution is to ensure the gov't doesn't violate your rights. It doesn't define immigration law.

This is the law. It says to deport. Even says harboring, i.e. sanctuary cities are illegal.

Oh look... illegals are not entitled to the same gov't welfare protections.

This is about whether the gov't should prioritize citizens over illegals. And it should, but it doesn't.

The democrats not standing was a giant 🖕 to the American people. But keeping illegals in the country is necessary to maintaining control.

@BizSuitStacy So tell your corporate pals to stop hiring them.

Everyone is guaranteed due process. That's also the law.

Deflect much?

Everyone is guaranteed due process. That's also the law.

Never miss out on an opportunity to look like a bozo by throwing out the term "due process" when trying to deflect away from a non-Constitutional issue.

@BizSuitStacy You're not a fan of the rule of law.

Got it.

Undocumented (illegal) immigrants are protected by the U.S. Constitution because many of its provisions, particularly the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, guarantee rights to all "persons" within U.S. jurisdiction, not just citizens. They are entitled to due process, including hearings before deportation, protection against unreasonable searches, and freedom of speech.
(American Immigration Council)

Key constitutional rights for undocumented individuals include:

Due Process: The right to a fair hearing before an immigration judge to challenge deportation.

Equal Protection: Protection against unlawful discrimination.

Fourth Amendment: Protection against unreasonable searches and seizures of their person or property.

Fifth Amendment: Protection against self-incrimination.

Court Access: The right to legal representation (at their own expense) in immigration court.

Key Limitations:
No Voting: Undocumented immigrants cannot vote in federal or state elections.

Expedited Removal: Individuals apprehended near the border or who have been in the country for a short time may be deported without a full hearing.

No Government-Paid Counsel: Unlike in criminal cases, they are not entitled to a taxpayer-funded lawyer in immigration hearings.

Limited Rights at the Border: Constitutional protections are more limited for people seeking entry at a port of entry compared to those already physically present within the country.
(Congress.gov | Library of Congress)

While they have constitutional rights, they are still subject to immigration laws that can lead to detention and removal.

@JSul3 What a bunch of BS! Trump already has more money than he knows how to spend so why would he want the pittance he could get from.that?
JSul3 · 70-79
@fanuc2013 Per Mary Trump, for Donald there's never enough.
