Anyone else think it is a bit weird that the Europeans have started randomly inviting the Finnish PM to suddenly be in the middle of Ukraine talks?

Just seems kind of random for them to suddenly be thrust into the mess. And this after the Europeans crashed the trilateral talks to begin with.

Not sure what the Finns have to offer here.

Maybe advice on how to surrender and call it a victory? (Continuation War).

Or are we going to see them get suckered into being the next proxy cannon fodder nation.

@RosaMarie And something else to consider. Ukraine did technically fire first. According to the OSCE the Ukrainian army subjected Donbas to the biggest artillery bombardment since 2014 before the Russian forces crossed the border as a show of force.

But I guess now you will try and claim the OSCE works for the Kremlin too. 😂

@RosaMarie It is clear you are a foaming at the mouth anti Russian extremist so facts don't matter.

The agreement would have been to put Donbas under the jurisdiction of Russia since Ukraine had nearly a decade to implement the Minsk peace agreements and flatly refused to do.

I guess your solution was just to let Kiev to continue shelling Donbas out of existence.

Both Merkel and Holland have since said they lied through their teeth during the Minsk peace talks and were stalling for time to build a NATO army for war with Russia.

The only people acting in bad faith is the west. The west has violated every treaty with Russia since 1989.

Pretty sure Donbas is east of Berlin.

Minsk and the Istanbul made it clear that any peace signed with the west is not worth the paper it is printed on.

When you make a diplomatic solution impossible don't whine when war breaks out.

And the worst part is the Ukrainian people were used from the beginning to be cannon fodder for the west's war with Russia.

They start the war and Ukrainians die to the last Ukrainian.

Finns were considered excellent freedom fighters in their day. Kings of winter warfare. That’s why they are not part of Russia.
@AthrillatheHunt Banking on a nearly 90 year old reputation doesn't make much sense either.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow true. It’s baffling why they are there. It’s not even like allowing a former empire like the ottomans to be at the negotiating table.

@jshm2 The thing is the Europeans were not even supposed to be there. Word is Zelensky helped them crash the party.

So the whole thing was a trainwreck.
No. He hates Russia enough.
