Yeah, it was a sad US funded CIA operation at regime change. It wrecked livelihoods of both the Chinese and American expats living there. I was in Hong Kong shortly before it all broke out. You need to get out of the country and see for yourself what the world truly is out there. If you can't afford it, watch tik tok shorts posted by American tourists in China.

Has anyone thought about the next government if the Islamic Regime falls? The mullahs have systematically eliminated any domestic opposition leaders. So what's the plan? Airdrop Mr. Pahlavi into downtown Tehran with a copy of "Forming a Government for Dummies?" Pahlavi has a lot of support in the Iranian diaspora but very little in the country itself.
I suspect that Trump has no intention of actually attacking Iran. Instead, he (or more likely, his advisors) is taking a page from Nixon's playbook by giving the impression that he's actually crazy enough to do it. If this is convincing enough, he can force the regime to agree to limits on nuclear weapons without firing a shot. Of course, I could be wrong and he might want a war to distract from the Epstein files.

Yes. The US is an empire. My point is though I don't believe a random person living in small town Idaho decided they wanted the USA to be an empire. The people in power did. The rest just get dragged along for the ride.

I don't think we have to worry about any exchange. Apparently, The USS Gerald Ford, at the center of Trump's stand-off with Iran has major plumbing issues. The toilet sewage system is broken. On top of design flaws, the sailors are mistreating and destroying it on a daily basis. The 13 billion dollar carrier is not a warship but a floating dorm room, revealing that everything from t-shirts, sanitary pads, to a four-foot piece of rope have been removed from the system. The vacuum pipes are narrow. Brown paper towels and even commercial toilet paper also cause breakdowns. The most common problem is a valve at the back of the toilets that can be knocked loose and cause all of the toilets (which the Navy calls heads) in one of 10 zones to lose suction. Repair can only be done in port at Norfolk, Virginia. Everybody, including F35 fighter pilots, has to go to the bathroom.
The "extra" US carriers are likely being brought in to "swarm" the radar and defence - but Iran's answer to that is likely counter drone swarms - else submarine attacks.
