That moment when the women's march in Washington has more people than the inauguration

There isn't one near me, or I'd be there, too. Watching the news coverage from around the US is amazing!

Looks more like the losers are having a temper tantrum than anything of real meaning. Trump won Hillary lost. Get used to it.

Yes, just like the conservatives accepted Obama ;)
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Didn't see too many marches the day after Obama's inauguration. Yes there was legitimate protests later over Obama's policy and I would expect the same for Trump. But protesting the day after the inauguration is just being a spoiled brat that didn't get your way.

Thank God there will be no wasted time and money trying to prove that Trump is a Muslim, socialist born in Kenya.

Make sure to ice your arm if its sore. Patting yourself on the back is tough work.

@hippyjoe1955: Or it could have something to do with not agreeing with certain policies, feeling like your vote didn't matter when more people physically voted for the other candidate, wanting to unite and make your voices heard, etc.

Are you really a hippie, Joe? Cause from what I've learned about the hippies, they weren't opposed to protesting either.

There have been no policies. Get used to losing loser.

@hippyjoe1955: You're kidding, right? Ever hear of Planned Parenthood and how they are trying to strip it of funding already? Of course not. It seems you'd rather hear only what you want to. It is disappointing, though, that a man of your age has to result to namecalling rather than a civil and well-thought debate.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Sorry but that is not a Trump policy. If it happens that will the will of congress.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@Kaceekakes: Well, at least HJ agrees with us that Mitch McConnell was out of line when he declared prior to Obama's inauguration that he wanted him to be one term president. Because you see, there were no "policies".

And yes, the irony of calling others out on temper tantrums will be lost on him.
Kaceekakes · 31-35, F
@hippyjoe1955: It is under his administration.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@luckranger71: I guess the fact that McConnell never tried to de-legitimize Obama's presidency escapes your feeble grasp of things political. Let's give Trump a chance and see where he wants to go instead of projecting all our fears and phobias on him before he has even started.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Kaceekakes: No it is the will of congress. The US is not a dictatorship. the president can only veto bills from congress he can not initiate them.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@hippyjoe1955: add "de-legitimize" and "feeble" to the list of words you don't understand.
Kaceekakes · 31-35, F
@hippyjoe1955: It would have been nice to see people do that with Obama. All in all, I wish you well with whatever your president does. I'm glad your vote counted and congratulations on winning. I will continue supporting the peaceful protests in my country against him and hope that a better candidate for the dems will win in 2020.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Try a dictionary there are lots of them on line. After GWB was elected the first time I hoped his would be a one term presidency but he was still the legitimate president for both terms.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Kaceekakes: Trump is not my president. Firstly I am Canadian with family in the US. I follow American politics and I could only morally support Trump after all the other republican candidates had lost. Bernie and Hillary were behind Trump on my presidential choices for president. I live in Canada and am all too familiar with the devastation Hillary or Bernie's ideas have on peoples lives.
Kaceekakes · 31-35, F
@hippyjoe1955: That's fascinating. We are polar opposites in our choices/views and I would love to visit and even live in your country at some point in my life.

@satanburger: The marches on Saturday weren't riots. Even your president commended the protesters on how peaceful it was...

@satanburger: I'm talking about the actual topic of this post, which is what hippy's original comment was towards.

@satanburger: The women's march also had anti-Trump protestors, yet remained peaceful, which is why I thought you were referencing that.
