Have you needed to cut people out of your life because of current politics ?

I have. Not relatives, though. Thankfully, none of my family members or even extended family are MAGAs. I kind of feel bad for some of these people, but I respect them.

I've never cut a friend or relative out of my life for that reason, but in the past 10 years especially...there have been some serious rifts between I and a few people that were related to "political" differences. One of those rifts was with an uncle I was very fond of, who is now deceased.

I do definitely agree that it is at the very least challenging, to remain on 'good terms' with someone who mocks and makes light of things you care deeply about...or defends someone who is intentionally, very deliberately, chipping away at any progress made on those things.
