@Softy1 I don't, either, but I know they're going about it exactly the wrong way unless they intend to transition us from a democracy to something else.

@Softy1 I've been told I throw around the word fascist a little too much, but it definitely feels fascist adjacent. Uniformed masked people going door to door demanding your papers doesn't seem very American.

@ItsMeMorgue I wouldn’t separate mother,father and child or children that are under 18. I would detain illegals and get them ready for deportation. As long as a country would accept deportees I would give the illegals to pick whatever country that would accept them. I would give them a $1000 dollars per head( persons directly kin)
They would be allowed to come in the legal way, but until approved they could not be in this country. I would be tougher as far as protesting goes. Anyone throwing anything at someone else would be considered a assault, anyone disturbing the peace and impeding law enforcement or vandalism.

@Softy1 Throwing things at or hitting law enforcement definitely be an arrestable offense. We agree on that. We would also need stricter regulations and more thorough training on new ICE officers, because apparently they all think they are Judge Dredd.

@ItsMeMorgue I am noticing that! They need to be trained more on de escalation and how to treat suspects and some people skills

@ItsMeMorgue the way I feel I have nothing against legal immigration. The immigrants that I like best is the people from Mexico ( the population of Mexicans where I live is very very plentiful.)

@Softy1 I agree. I also feel like the process of immigrating legally should be made simpler, so people don't feel intimidated by it. That's a big part of the problem.
