I understand wanting to give hope but...

All the liberal news people, media and such are all saying, "trump is in fear! Trump is being terrified! Trump has his back against the wall!"

But does he?

Does he, really?

They've been saying this for over a year now.

It's hard to believe when nothing has really changed and things are still facistly awful. We are still decending into Germany 1932 at a pretty free fall pace now.

So...I suspect that what they say will be true when:

1) The Republicans get outnumbered in the midterms (if we are even allowed to have them)

2) Other countries deem us such a threat they attack us

3) in 3 more years when his term is hopefully over.

Please quit lying. There's nothing that is making Trump back down.

Yeah, I’m getting a little tired of that, too.
But it begs the question:
Which is preferable, baseless optimism or total despair ?

@bijouxbroussard As I said, I'm all for hope. Hope is what keeps us going. It's when we finally lose hope that things are going to get real, real fast.

But, there's only so long that you can string me along before I start saying, "I'll see it when I believe it." If death is truly my only hope, that's not really much hope. It is when people hope for death that the object of that hope ends up having an unnaturally long life. 😐
@FoxyGoddess Yes, I’ve said that, too. People thought "he couldn’t possibly be elected" after he was convicted in court of all those crimes. And then he was allowed to continue running for the highest office in the land ! We’ve pretty much had to accept that this isn’t business as usual.

Fascism in the United States…perhaps I can believe it because of the past treatment of certain groups here, including my own. But I admit, even I didn’t expect to see it return, full-blown.
