Why has Greenland not been mentioned for weeks? I’ll tell you…

Notice how you don’t hear anything about Greenland anymore all of a sudden? Not even from Trump?

Here’s why. Denmark’s largest pension fund started selling US treasuries after Trump claimed he held all the cards. In response, Trump threatened all of Europe, saying that they had better stop or else he would retaliate. So a large Swedish pension fund started dumping its US
treasuries too.

Trump caved, and made a “deal” (with NATO secretary Mark Rutte) - ignoring for a moment that both Denmark and Greenland were excluded from this “deal”, so there was no deal - to *checks notes* get the same privileges as the US always had. He then took a quick victory lap and memory holed the whole thing.

Anyhow, that’s the reason why you haven’t heard Greenland mentioned in several weeks, and probably never will again. It’s the MAGA way : claim victory even in the face of overwhelming defeat.

Yeah, people always talk about how "unpredictable" Trump is, but in some ways he's very predictable. This same playbook has been used multiple times now. As long as Trump can call something a "deal", he is satisfied. Even if the result is the status quo.
@WestonTexan First, last, and always he’s TACO!
