Trump says Republicans should ‘nationalize’ elections

"On Monday, Donald Trump laid out his strategy for the midterm elections on Dan Bongino’s podcast.

Here's the quote: "The Republicans should say, 'We want to take over. We should take over the voting in at least 15 places.' The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting."

"Take over." "Nationalize."

He is openly talking about a federal seizure of ballot boxes in specific cities and counties that oppose him. He is talking about ending the constitutional separation of powers and replacing local, non-partisan election officials with federal agents loyal only to him.

Now you know why he has spent the last year building up ICE into a domestic paramilitary force and pumping tens of billions of dollars into DHS to mask and arm agents to the teeth.

The scenes we are witnessing in Minneapolis are proof of concept for what Trump can get away with. It’s a training ground.

He has built the army. Now, with his seizures of ballots in Georgia and this call to "nationalize" the vote, he is building the justification to deploy them to polling places in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Detroit this November.

This is clear, obvious fascism and an existential threat to the Republic in an election year.

He told us what he is going to do. We have to believe him."

@kittee I believe Trump is the front man for the billionaire class, for their attempt to overthrow democracy and the constitution and install an oligarchy (rule by the wealthy). If Trump dies they will find someone nearly as bad to be their front man.

We the People need to seize control of the political system. First order of business is to ban all campaign donations and institute publicly funded elections. Next, repeal the horrible Citizens United supreme court decision. Corporations are NOT individuals! Once we get the dark money out of politics then we are really getting somewhere.
