1 out of 10 jobs lost in manufacturing was lost to china and outsourcing. The other 9?

The other 9 were replaced by machines.

Automated out of existence. What happened to jobs in manufacturing? For the most part, they didn't lose out to a Worker in China or Mexico, they lost their job to competition from a machine.

The simple reality is we manufacture even more stuff than we did in the supposed golden age of manufacturing job, but we did it with robots.

To be frank and simple, we've simply gotten better at producing more with fewer people involved.
