The Republican Party, Has Achieved its Raison d'être, Slavery is no more. It should now go the way of the Whigs, GO AWAY.
That's my sentiment. China has the right of it on this one. We'd be better off under a Single party state-under the Democrats.
One thing that's great about the Democratic Party is it lacks any particular Raison d'être, But this is an advantage, as it makes it flexible in its Aims and Goals.
One Rant I have about politics honestly is very Simple, when I point out the great Irony of David Duke running as a Republican and the modern KKK feeling much more at home within the Republican Party, they remind me that over 100 years ago the Democratic Party was the Party of the KKK.
But the Solid south collapsed largely as a result of White Racist outrage about bussing black kids into their schools, OH NOOOOOOO NOT THAT, RACIAL INTEGRATION and the Civil rights bill, those who deny this reality point to the fact that only a handful of elected Democrats switched sides, but it's obscured by the reality that a lot of these people are not noteworthy individuals at all who have achieved anything that would pull them and their lives out of obscurity. The Great collapse of the Democratic BASE in the south as a result of the Passage of the Civil rights act, the VOTERS, the RANK AND FILE who do not expect to wield power themselves but merely delegate their's to a representative.
Southern Racist whites abandoned the party in droves in vengeance.
Alas, I've made my statement. I could not care less if it offended you or come what dreams may or how it might result in unintended consequences, come what may, Death to the Republican Party.
I ACCEPT the consequences. I WELCOME Them with OPEN ARMS.
I do not Accuse the Republican Party of being racist itself or the KKK of being part of it's mainstream, I accuse them of creating conditions that render people like David Duke comfortable within the party, Which should always be actively hostile and unwelcoming to groups like the KKK.
You've fostered an environment where they feel welcome, and you should be ashamed of that.
