President Trump is mad at Prime Minister Carney over China

Canada signed a trade deal with China where China buys billions of dollars worth of oilseeds. In return China can export EVs that no one in Canada wants to buy. Does President Trump not realise that if you only buy but don't sell you run a trade deficit?
