Can you imagine a protracted military campaign run by the Trump administration?

I don't mean a single raid that took months to plan, and largely relied on bribing everyone around one guy. I mean months and months of coordination, logistics, attrition, fog and leaks of bad news. With a commander in chief who changes his mind depending on who is in the room, and has an attention span measured in minutes

It would be chaos just like everything else we see him do. For coherence, the military leaders would have to decide which blather coming from his mouth was an actual order or strategy and which was just something he'd just thought of. In effect the military would have to decide for itself what it would do when contradictory signals came from the WH. They would obviously be the scapegoats for all mistakes.
