Mark Carney’s speech at Davos is the watershed speech!

The world has changed in the face of American, Russian and Chinese threats against the order the world has adhered to since 1952! Trump has his “splendid isolationism “ if that’s what he is after for the right wing lobby in America.

Canada 🇨🇦 aligning with the EU, and various other “middle powers” around the world gives a third option to economic development for those countries looking for a way to find a market either in America’s orbit or China’s. Security is the fundamental issue for every country since it seems Trump’s America doesn’t want to be the big neighbour to rely on.

The various countries that have a democratic system in place are looking to make reassuring alliances much the same as they did in 1900 when the world saw big powers shaking their fists for control of the recognised markets at that time.

The Communist intervention in world history now effectively dismissed we have a very similar situation in world politics that we had just before World War One.

Jack, I've come to realize that you are not actually an American citizen, nor do you live anywhere in the USA. I don't know where in the world you live, but you are definitely not an American citizen. I believe that you live somewhere in central Europe, but you don't live anywhere in North America.

I always suspected that, but I didn't have anything concrete to point at. But now I do and I thank you for finally making this clear to me.

Canada is vaguely mentioned in this thread and wasn't an issue until you invented a conversation involving Canada, jack.

Too bad you never heard Carney's speech nor even read it. You might have learned from that speech where the US sits in that 'New World Order' that Carney speaks about.... and it isn't in the front row anymore!
