Sorry to get political but, why does the US think Denmark cannot defend Greenland?

It's not Denmark's job, it's NATO's - to whit, the US.

Right?

Plus of course Greenland has never been under threat of invasion.

Because Denmark defended itself so well in ww2...

They folded quicker than France...

and Europe/NATO? because they're doing so well in Ukraine, a country that's literally next door...

but they're going to defend a country 2000 miles away across an ocean against a country that spends 12-15 times more on their military than Russia?

@Lostwithielle we've had to. In ww2, there were more Americans living on Greenland than Danes...
