The argument that if the US doesn't take Greenland Russia or China will take it is absolutely absurd if you do even some basic research.
The US is the only country out of the 3 that has the force projection capabilities required to even do that.
I mean if it was not for most being deployed in Ukraine already in theory the VDV could pull of an air assault if every nation between Russia and Greenland suddenly became pro Russian.
This is obviously not the case. Those IL -76s would never make it anywhere near Greenland.
And the Russian Naval Infantry unlike the Soviets don't have the capabilities for an amphibious assault further than Odessa.
And China has none of these capabilities at all.
