The pilgrimage was organized by a group of 19 monks from the Vietnamese Buddhist tradition, affiliated with the Huong Dao Temple in Fort Worth. Inspired by the teachings of Gautama Buddha, the Walk for Peace aims to raise "awareness of peace, loving kindness, and compassion across America and the world."

@markinkansas If they are Buddhists they cannot be Communist. Communists are ideologically anti-religion.
Nor can you link simple peace and humanity as their rather naive hope states, and Communism.
If that is the aim of their walk, it is not even political in any party-dogma way. I doubt for one moment their walk will achieve anything, but their call is for peace not any extremist "ism". Leave 'em be. They are not harming anyone!
