A liberal journalist infiltrated ice to find out some shocking hiring process.
You guys it's bad, it's really bad. I mean it's so bad like as in you can be a serial grapist and they'd hire you, it's so bad. The journalist was curious to see their hiring method, she got hired within 6 minutes, they asked very basic questions. Worse? They sent her a tentative offer that said she accepted the offer. She never filled out any background check and it said she had passed. She never had to sign any papers promising she engage in domestic terrorism (yes that's a thing.)
Not just that, she had smoked pot and signed up for the drug test. Which to be fair I don't think it's a big deal unless you're doing it on active duty. Not the point though, if they aren't even checking, an ice agent could be on meth for all we know.
But she found that the drug test didn't matter and ice had hired her 3 days earlier at the time anyways.
They are quite literally not doing background checks and hiring these people within 5 minutes of an interview process. Not making them sign papers or nothing.
I only watched the beginning and I'm fairly sure it gets worse, a few comments remark that the training is only 45 days so I'm sure that's in there too
