Tim McGraw's daughter Gracie sends bold political message amid ICE killing

“ Tim McGraw's daughter, Gracie McGraw, sent a bold political message amid the killing of Renee Good at the hands of an ICE officer in Minneapolis.
On Wednesday, Jan. 7, Good, 37, was shot in the head and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis. Statements from ICE and witnesses are conflicting—with federal officials alleging that the SUV Good was driving backed into an officer as a different officer was questioning her, and video evidence challenging that, per CBS News.
Gracie, 28, the oldest daughter of Tim and his wife, Faith Hill, took to her Instagram Stories that same day with a blunt response. "F--- ICE," read one reposted graphic.
In another IG Stories segment, Gracie added, "ICE are domestic terrorists," followed by a graphic encouraging those witnessing ICE interactions to "keep filming" them. "This is a public place. These are pubic officials. This is public accountability," it continued.
Yet another image that she shared read, "Bite the hand that feeds you propaganda."
Those who have followed Gracie for a period of time know that this isn's the first time she has spoken out on political topics. In October 2024, she reposted a note from actress and singer Malynda Hale ahead of the presidential election between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
“I cannot believe how hard we have to work to convince people that a qualified woman of color who has dedicated her life to public service and operates with grace, dignity and empathy is a better candidate to lead this country than a man who was a reality television star, is a sexual predator, filed for bankruptcy at least 6 times,” the message read. "I feel like I’m going crazy.”
That same month, Gracie posted via Instagram that she was her own person aside from her famous parents, following several political posts.
“I just want to throw this out there because I’ve noticed some rhetoric around my political views and how they tie in with my parents, but let me say this,” she wrote on Oct. 24, 2024. “I am my own human. I am my own woman. I talk about things that matter to me."
Gracie also warned fans, telling them, "Don’t follow me if you [expect] their private lives to be on display. This is my life and my page. If you are new here, welcome to the party!!!! If you follow me because of my parents and expect something that is not me, then you are FREE TO LEAVE.”
