Vance is the same if not even worse in this regard

I'll chose to trust the guy who once equated the current president to Adolf Hitler (and not in a praising sort of way). If he tries to break the law by violating a duly enacted Treaty of the United States, then he could be removed by the 25th (or impeached as well), leaving Mike Johnson in charge (who despite his lacks of balls would be better than either Trump or Vance).

@beckyromero That's even worse. Vance recognized that Trump is fascist, but still chose to join MAGA.
Trump is legit mentally challenged and has no idea what he's doing. The country is being run by ideological fascists like JD Vance, Stephen Miller, and Marco Rubio.

Interesting book:
"Guilty Men"
by Michael Carin
It doesn't quite pack the punch by "Cato" re: British officials before World War II.
And I'm kinda still ticked Carin picked the title that I had previously came up with for the same play on Cato's book (which was a combined effort by a number of journalists).
The book is too short and seems rushed.
I also disagree with some of the men he put on the list.
Jeb Bush? Seriously?

@beckyromero Yeah, that's pretty strange. Are the "guilty men" people who enabled MAGA Fascism? Jeb Bush didn't publicly oppose Trump in 2020 or 2024, but he also didn't endorse him. He kinda just disappeared in a cloud of shame.

Many are the usual suspects: Bannon, Priebus, Murdoch, Hannity, etc.
But Rand Paul? Give me a break. Including Paul and leaving out Mark Levin?
Apparently he wrote this originally as an ebook in 2020. It's 135 pages.

@beckyromero Rand Paul defended Trump trying to blackmail Zelenskyy, which I still see as the rubicon moment. When the right-wing establishment defended Trump for trying to cheat in an election, I knew they had fully embraced Authoritarianism.
As for leaving out Levin, I guess they couldn't include every single person.

Carin called Paul the "pre-eminent Tea Party turncoat" and focused much of his ire against him for failing to defend free trade.
🤣 True. He'd have to have turned the publication into a multiple volume work.

@beckyromero It is pretty sad how many Libertarians abandoned all of their principles in order to support Trump. I expect that from Conservatives because Conservatism is authoritarian by nature.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@beckyromero They won't impeach him, him being popular or not doesn't matter at least until 2028.
Besides, he won't. Expecting Republicans to do the right thing and getting disappointed every time is the reason you (country) are in this situation to begin with.
