There Was No Plan
During Trump's first term, several cabinet members, acted as safeguards, preventing him to doing crazy shit, especially stuff that was not discussed with the professional.
These safeguards no longer exist, but for the most part, the public seems to be under the impression, that there was a plan in place.
The evidence seems to indicate the latter is not the case.
The nation, and Congress, woke up to bulldozers tearing down the East Room. Trump announced it after the demolition was done, and talked about what will replace it, with mockups. He said there was a plan, talked about the projected cost, that it was going to be paid for using private money, when it was going to be ready, the beautiful architecture, etc.
Turns out there was no plan.
Over the following few months, they ended up hiring an actual architecture firm, doing engineering plans, and came up with the real budget, and a timeframe. Turns out the cost is going to be at least 4X what he said, and it was not going to be ready anywhere near the timeframe he claimed.
But the destruction happened, because he picked up the phone and ordered it done, and no one at the White House was able to say no, or figure out how to say.
Then came Venezuela.
Even Congress had no clue. Oil company execs knew, and Hegseth drew plans. Through sheer luck no US servicemen were killed.
But no one in the military figured out how to say no.
We went from "we're going to run Venezuela", to "we're going to influence Venezuela.
But the point is, there was no plan and there was no one in charge who could challenge him.
We have a system of checks and balances that Trump reduced to 2 powers.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. People should wake up and make sure that the next Congress is capable of exercise the power the Constitution endowed it, because is not panning on respecting the Constitution, as he stated when he was asked if he considers his primary job to uphold the Constitution and his answer was: I don't know.
This was shortly after he took the oath of office. Do you recall what the Presidential oath of office?
