Right wingers are trying to disband lgbtqia protections

In education, employment healthcare , business services, housing etc. they claim it is giving special rights to sexual and gender minorities when really these protections in the law would not be needed if some people weren’t so shitty and discriminated against others for being gay or trans intersex etc. as a moderate person, these culture wars to me are just crazy. Far left wing and far right wing are both equally nutty. Depending how right wing someone is there is also the abortion bans ( I’m more pro life but would never force someone into pregnancy by the law) and cutting programs for education and public assistance programs that help poor and needy. This sociopolitical landscape is a mess also far right wing is also anti immigrant. What is happening?
