@beckyromero That’s not the point, you highlighted the need for improved ballistic missile defenses and this announcement, in conjunction with the whole concept of the Golden Dome, speaks to the fact that the US government is working on it.

Excellent question. It seems that the driving force behind the proposal is simply his intoxication with the allure of raw, unrestrained power. It would be useful if the administration could refer to great-power rivalry and the necessary confrontation of the autocratic entente/axis of upheaved as the purpose-driven rationale.Announce a policy that says for every aircraft carrier China builds will we build two!
