I find it funny that so many people take videos in the media of so called celebrations in Venezuela at face value.

I mean first off we know some are AI fakes.

But people seriously still trust outlets that claimed riots in Cairo, Egypt during the Arab Spring was footage of Zuccotti Park in NYC during OWS and that was almost 15 years ago.

Many of those videos showing people celebrating are not even in Venezuela. In fact, my friend of Venezuela says people are afraid to celebrate. Yeah there are a lot of Venezuelans who are celebrating but they are doing it at home. Those videos are from different places like Miami.

This video is not AI. It shows how many Venezuelans are out in support of Maduro.

@SW-User Oh for sure. I know some were Miami, Florida. And they are Venezuelan in the same way Marco Rubio is Cuban.

And even if it were true. People celebrated in Iraq and Libya. How did that work out? There isn't even a real Libya at all anymore and the two fiefdoms that call themselves Libya have open slave markets.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The idea that we can impose democracy everywhere has clearly failed. As you mentioned, we’ve seen this play out in Iraq, where there is still a power vacuum. In Afghanistan where everything we built collapsed. I’m not even sure we truly have a functioning democracy in the United States. It seems politicians have found ways to support the interests of elites regardless of what Americans want. In any case, Americans should be more focused on what’s happening within our own country.

The contradiction is that Trump admitted their Nobel Peace Prize winning Machado does not have the support of the Venezuelan people. So how does that make sense if they're claiming she has 70% popular support? That is the claim widely circulated on social media. At the same time, they also claim that Maduro lost the election by 70% of the vote.

I don't know if Maduro won or lost the election. It doesn't matter because Venezuelans need to figure out how to solve their own problems. Just as we in the United States should figure out how to solve our problems.

@CountScrofula Also think this through. You live in a country where you suddenly find yourself under airstrikes and naval bombardment.

And someone claims people ran out into the streets to have a party. And your response is "that seems legit." Really?

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Genuinely I don't see why the celebrations are important or not. False flag, real, who cares?

Like what actually matters here is fascist imperialism where the US waltzed in and conquered a sovereign nation on the most laughable pretense possible. Even Bush asked the UN for permission to invade Iraq. The international order is being completely torn down and although I'm no fan of neoliberalism this new thing is much worse.

Like who cares if the celebrations are real? If they're real the CIA is still a force for evil. Nothing about this is good or laudatory.
@CountScrofula It matters because it proves that if you believe that you will believe any other propaganda you are fed,.

It is interesting you say the CIA is a force for evil (which is correct) yet a moment ago you were going to bat for their regime change stooge in Caracas.

idk why dont u believe venezuelan arab celebrations. videos are real
@RachelLia2003 They are too indoctrinated to believe that expatriots globally celebrate the removal of a leftist dictator, when their own kings are deposed they don't like it.
@NativePortlander1970 Brought to you by the CIA.
