Why doesn't Venezuelan strong man dictator Maduro just step aside? Why cling to power?

@hippyjoe1955 it's the USA doing the telling, not me. The USA has announced its policy for its own hemisphere. Nothing changed. Why oppose the sovereign? Cuba will suffer, too. Honduras followed orders and installed a US friendly leader, this month. They're peaceful neighbors.v
