They are trying to force states so they can do election intimidation and bully voters into voting for them.

That and I would only expect the Trump regime to also use that info for a nation wide enemies list.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow And once that information has been gathered. It will never be deleted. The genie will be out of the bottle.. And I am having a hard time feeling sorry for Americans over this.. Now, if you wish to escape, you will have to leave the country..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman The sad thing is thanks to 5 eyes it doesn't matter which country you are in. The US spies on Aussies for them and the Aussies spy on Americans for them. Ditto with Canada, etc.

It also renders any domestic privacy laws completely irrelevant.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Britain have already put limits on what intelligence they now pass onto America.. Australia are cooperating with Canada to use our over the horizon radar instead of the US tech. But for governments to be reacting like this, they must see something pretty rotten in the state of Denmark. (And there we are back at Greenland) Investors and companies react quickly when profit is threatened. Government relationship tend to see beyond the next election cycle. This doesnt bode well for America..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Sharing intelligence on foreign governments that are viewed as hostile is one thing. But all the 5 Eyes agencies were using their information sharing agreement to go around their domestic privacy laws and spy on their own citizens.

The CIA infiltrated Germany so badly that they even bugged Angela Merkel's cellphone. As a result of this in Germany now any document over a certain classification is written up on typewriters again because they don't even trust their own "allies" anymore.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I can think of a lot of reasons not to trust the US government. And that was before Trump..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Bugging Angela Merkel happened under Obama.
