Evidence suggests virtually zero. Protest doesn't get results in the USA and Canada in particular. In Europe they can mobilize organized labour too so it is a bit different.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Arguably, the Vietnam War ended because of protests, but those were huge. Overall you're largely correct that protests in the US have no effect. A general strike would but there's no chance of that happening.
