@Girlyfriendcollecting Well, @Girlyfriendcollecting, he's not great at running a university, casino or airline, either. Not to mention the mail-order steak company and.... 😂

@Trav2024 you make me sick by existing
Trav2024 · 51-55, M
@idontcareok I have great news for you... You'll get over it.
Conservative here, so take my response as my own and judge accordingly.
Both sides have a point, we're not doing well as a country atm. Our kids academic performance isn't good when judged according to int'l metrics. Our healthcare system isn't doing so great. Wealth gap disparities are increasing at an alarming rate. There was this implied promise that if we worked hard, went to college, and followed the rules we would be guaranteed certain outcomes. But, these outcomes didn't materialize for a lot of us because baby-boomers entrenched in decision making positions lowered the capital gains tax so that their net worth essentially compounded year after year. Post WWII leadership traded the domestic manufacturing industry for national security by making the USD the default international trade currency, which gave us the ability to impose economic sanctions on foreign countries through a US financial banking system but consequently increased the value of the USD astronomically which made it impossible for anyone to manufacturing anything here in America. The idea, at the time, was that we were supposed to up-skill en mass away from the menial manufacturing jobs. But our education system wasn't up to the challenge so we just traded domestic manufacturing to the rest of the world at the expense of the working class families. We didn't grow and improve, and what's coming our is : "LETS GO BRANDON!!!!". There's a harsh message in those words, but not the vocabulary to describe the reality. We've got to improve ourselves, finish the required reading and look beyond hashtags. Otherwise, we won't rise above the verbal lashing and the mudslinging. We want prosperity. What we have is a divided nation, motivated by hate, and billionaires robbing us blind.

I don’t believe anyone knows how to run a country. It’s way too big for people. With a good team and lots of prayer things may go right.
I appreciate what you say that he’s a good person but can use better skills in not splitting the country even in words.

@Mmiker good plan. Nothing like not having a future!

On the advice of my better judgment, I will now be closing this post and wishing all a happy and long, joy-filled life.

@RosaMarie Trumps lifestyle? You mean a life of Zero alcohol and drugs? I don't think Trav agrees with you.
He does not seem hate filled like yourself. Did you celebrate with the other Dems when Charlie Kirk was killed?
How about Trump? I'm sure you were disappointed when the bullet only hit his ear.
I'll say it again, Democrats are the most hateful people on the planet.

When you have no coherent ideology and have long blackballed politics, you aren't politically divided. You're uneducated and unwilling to engage in the political issues of our time.
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@Trav2024 it's probably never going to be perfectly clear without understanding politics, the ideology of the two sides, the history of neoliberal economics and its relationship to the massive war profits that give certain people control of the government, as well as the role of the private media in selling wars. Understanding those things makes you a wrong person! Good luck.
Professional and personal aren't political. You can expect to remain mystified.

@Roundandroundwego I understand and respect your view. I see now how we might interact regarding the political world, leading to your username @Roundandroundwego. You may be a member of the Contrarian Party. I wish you a happy and healthy life. 😀
