Why would these six people want to commit western Europe to a war against Russia?
The same question can be asked about US politicians who want to commit Americans to the killing of Palestinians in Gaza.
The power they wield comes not from the citizens of countries they represent. It comes from the structure of democratic
institutions that rob that power from the people.

@Thewhazzupdude That is factually wrong. The US and Uk wanted to bring Ukraine into the offensive NATO military alliance even if they had to force it. And they did because there was objectively no support for it organically. We know from years of polls that nobody in Ukraine was really interested and then suddenly it was issue number 1 literally within days of the Maidan coup.

Several American officials knew this would for sure lead to war with Russian from George Kenan, Dick Cheney, Jake Sullivan, John Meirsheimer, etc. This also covers a period of 30 years.

The problem only about 2 people in that list thought starting a war with Russia was a bad thing. 3 if you include Jake Sullivan who in 2008 said it was a stupid idea yet went along with it anyway.
