Welfare state, etc. Christ never campaigned in political matters of the Roman empire- what you are probably thinking of is teachings on the poor. Christ didn't preach a welfare state but in terms of charitable giving, bluntly, we are to get off our backsides and help the poor and needy ourselves not wait for the government to do it, nothing political here.

I don't have an interpretation because "land of milk and honey" is from the Hebrew Bible of the Jews who, by the way, are well -represented at the top of the Fortune 500 List of billionaires. Jesus' teaching has nothing to do with the Jews who rejected him. Christians, especially Christian Zionists, are a confused lot.

Jesus had a great deal to do with Jews. He preached to them. Said it was His wish that ALL could be saved and called them God's chosen. Paul was a Jew. The disciples were Jews. Way too many examples to list referencing Jesus and Jews.

Chris Hedges wrote a book on the topic years ago before Trump was really a thing and he commented that most basically ran away when they found out he is an ordained minister and knew more than there 5 or 6 memorized passages from the Old Testament.

Let me guess… Out of context scriptures that don’t actually line up with God’s word because atheists don’t actually understand The Holy Bible.
